The color guard led the parade. The SAR float had colorful flags. These fine photos were sent to me by Plano Compatriot Dan Reed.

Compatriot Dan Reed described the parade in an email to me as

"Gentlemen: What a great Day. These need to go to TXSSAR and NSSAR for their publications. We honor America as we should, involving the CAR, & DAR. The Symphony is icing on the cake! The Color Guard has never looked better! Bob Flagg is an accomplished Photographer & I want to thank him for his decision to be a part of the Color Guard! Chuck Sprague did a fantastic job handing out over 500 SAR Brochures along the parade route. I also wish to thank McKinney Chapter President Don Babbs for attending and riding the float in Militia Uniform. The CAR for keeping us watered in the heat. We were glad to have Marilyn Walker and Granddaughter Delany riding our float along with Penni Sprague and Chuck Jr. General George Washington, "Richard Arnold", joined the parade enroute and we thank him for his help!
